Lessons are highly encouraged because like anything else, the more skilled you become the more fun and the more safely you can enjoy the activity! Our emphasis is to pair you up in groups of similar ability with an instructor who can get to know you and from week to week can build on your improvement.
If you are new to the sport, we will get you started learning the basics right away. You will learn about your equipment and how to best get around. We want to get you started on learning how to slide, turn, and stop as quickly as we can.
People learn at different rates and in different ways. You will be put in a preliminary group based on the evaluation level you indicate when purchasing your pass. We will likely shift the groups around a bit the first lesson night to ensure each group is with the right instructor. Our goal is to have the same group with the same instructor each week; however things come up and we may need to shuffle thing around after the first night. Our design is to have you in a group with the instructor that works best for you.
For the more advanced skier and boarder, the same thing goes. The groups, initially set from your evaluation, will go out and practice together to determine if we need shift anyone around to get them in a more ideal group.
The next week you can meet your instructor and group at your predetermined meeting place and get right to it! We know things come up, so if you miss a week your instructor will know how to best work on what you missed. The lessons emphasize different skills each week so your instructor can give you some tips on how to practice the skills from your missed class!
We feel there is nothing quite like the exhilaration of sliding on the snow. We want to share that feeling with you! And the best part… the more skilled you become you will have fun! See you on the slopes!
